1x under sink twin housing, 1x pressure reduction valve, 1x tap, 1x diverter valve, 1x spanner, 1x 6000L fluoride filter, 1x KDF/Carbon/Mg filter inc postage
If you would like watermark please order the housing direct from another supplier and then order just the prefilter cartridges from here.
Most filters use old technology using granular Coconut activated carbon. Now Catalytic activated carbon is available which most filters have not yet adopted (it is more expensive)
KDF is then added to the filter to do 4 things.
1. Filter Life: Increases the carbon filter life by 30% and reduces scale build up.
2. Microorganism Control: controls the growth of bacteria, algae, and fungi while carbon does not.
3. Convert harmful contaminants into harmless substances rather than just filtering them
4. Contaminants Removal: Removes inorganic contaminants like heavy metals while the carbon filter removes organic contaminants like chlorine.
When they are used together, they remove both inorganic and organic contaminants
Additional of minerals There have been no minerals removed using this filter setup however adding Magnesium Prill can further help mineralise the body. The magnesium will assist in precipitating the heavy metals via ion exchange and improve alkalinity making the pH more stable.
It may also provide additional benefits with ORP that maybe good for you and if have a Kangen or other ionizer it will help produce a healthier water.
The 3 are mixed together in the one filter. Catalytic activated carbon, KDF, Magnesium Prill.
Removal of fluoride A dedicated filter cartridge is specifically required just for removing fluoride. Most cartridges use alumina (aluminum oxide) which only can last 2000L per 10×2.5” cartridge. I have opted for a new proprietary blend that is not based on alumina and can filter 6000L. This filter goes after the combination prefilter. Together they are a great first step in filtering your water. Next step is to bring the water back to life and full of redox molecules via a Kangen Ionizer that charges the water!
Typical fluoride filer uses alumina oxide which lasts around 2000L and cost $89. The new gen fluoride filter developed and tested is $150 and lasts 6000L, coming in around 43% cheaper not to mention the hassle of replacing a regular filter 3 times.
The triple mineral, catalytic carbon and kdf pre filter is designed to protect the fluoride filter from contaminants and extend the life of the Kangen filter by 30-50% and add antimicrobial protection. It is also $150 and lasts 6000L.
